Interdrone 2016 Highlights and our favorite drones!

We had the opportunity to cover the recent Interdrone 2016. We are into technology and are huge huge fans of drones. Our first impression of the show was from a Key Note by Chris Anderson from 3d Robotics(3DR).

: He spoke in reference to control of drones and processing of data via the cloud. He also said that the future would bring drones for a variety of uses from security to delivery and for emergency life saving usage as well.

A bit of information on Chris Anderson:

Chris is the CEO of 3D Robotics and founder of DIY Drones. From 2001 through 2012 he was the Editor in Chief of Wired Magazine. Before Wired, he was with The Economist for seven years in London, Hong Kong and New York. Chris is the author of the New York Times bestselling books “The Long Tail” and “Free” as well as the new “Makers: The New Industrial Revolution.” Chris also founded GeekDad, BookTour and a few other companies now lost in the mists of time. His background is in science, starting with studying physics and doing research at Los Alamos and culminating in six years at the two leading scientific journals, Nature and Science. He now lives in Berkeley, California with his wife and five children.

In terms of the show and its technology we were impressed by Powervisions Poweregg.

 :

We love would do get one to review and help education and autism too. We like the folding propellers as well as its’ innovative design. It reminded us of the Flying Robot Eve from the Wallee movie. They also had a more high end drone that competes with the DJI Inspire line of drones as well. It is the Powereye PowerVision PowerEye

The next interesting and orange drone was the Autel Robotics XStar Premium drone  which we also found to be impressive in terms of its’ design, and features.

Here is a video of it operation:

We also had the opportunity to talk with the folks from Teal, who were showing the worlds fastest production drone:

At only 18 years old, George Matus is the CEO of his own drone and software company, Teal, which sells the fastest consumer drone in the world.

Image result for george matus teal

Teal is powered by the NVIDIA TX1, a crazy powerful mini supercomputer. It handles machine learning, autonomous flight, image recognition, and much more with ease, onboard the drone itself. This makes Teal a flying supercomputer. You can even plug Teal into a monitor, use it like a normal computer, play games on it, and go fly when you want!

Finally, we had the opportunity to visit with the folks at Yuneec(Pronounced like unique)

Though Yuneec offers a variety of drones for this article we found the most interesting one to be the Breeze due its’ size and the fact that it was unique from its’ competition in terms of its’s size and design.

According to Yuneec:

Introducing Breeze, the flying camera designed with you in mind. Both convenient and compact, Breeze is controlled by your iOS or Android device with the Breeze Cam app and weighs just under 1 pound. Now capture aerial photos and video of your daily adventures effortlessly– and do it in stunning 4K Ultra High Definition. Simply take Breeze out of the box and let it fly.

Overall we found the size and design, and the 4k video capabilities of the Breeze to be rather compelling. We would love to get one to test and review and do events for education and autism too. It also seems to be at an excellent price point as well.

Our overall impression of this years Interdrone event were really positive. The show and technology has advanced quite a bit in the last 12 months. We are huge fans of drones and their capabilities. We are trying to use drones and 3d printing to do events to help stem education and autism! We covered some of the highlights of the show and what we were intrigued by at the show.
The only downside to the show is that 3dr and DJI were not exhibiting at the show, we would have liked to have sen them at the show as well.

Cetus 3d Kickstarter–>A Nice device for the price!

We are rather impressed by the new Cetus 3d Printer.

We have been talking with their team on social channels and may get one to test, review and do some videos on.

If we do get one will use it to help our educational and autism events and programs too!

Cool 3d Printer on Kickstarter Worth Backing–>Big Bot!

I noticed this kickstarter project yesterday. We are huge fans of 3d printing and are trying to use it to help stem education and autism too. We are huge advocates for 3d printing and really love it. Please check out this project and back it if you can!

One of our missions is to help get new products to market that we find to be exciting and appear to be solid viable entrants to the market.
We are really impressed by this new, exciting 3d printer and like that it can print really large objects. We also like that the based does not move, just the print head. This is alot like a delta printer which we are also fans of. The fact that the object does not move as much would help it print smoother and in better quality as well.
also–>

Here is a cool video on you tube as well–>

The skinny on specifications:
BigBot printers are premium 3D printers, tailored specifically for larger 3D printed parts:

Dual extruder options allow for multiple colors or materials.

We are huge fans of reprap, and opensource 3d printing as well!

Hatchbox3d Filament loved it!

We recently had the opportunity to test and review Hatchbox3d Filament!

Hatchbox 3d

They also have a cool printer that we would love to test, review, and use to help education and autism, are intrigued by it.

As far as filament–>

We got to try a few varieties of their filament, some ABS, Some PLA and some Glass.

We used them on an Einstart -S, and a Seemecnc Delta Orion printer.

In nearly every situation the filament performed well. We are really impressed by the huge variety of colors and how well the filament performed overall.

According to Hatchbox3d:

From professional engineers to designers and hobbyists alike, enter into the world of HATCHBOX for endless opportunities of innovation and design in 3D printing. Our extensive collection of filaments caters to a variety of applications suitable for home, business, and anything your creative intellect aspires. Our distinguished craftsmanship is what makes us unique and sets us at the forefront of the competition. For consistency in quality, variety in selection, and affordability in pricing, HATCHBOX is here to provide you with the ultimate 3D printing filament solution. We encourage you to join our 3D printing community and share your vision in shaping and designing the future

We used some for a cub scout event back in May and it performed well.

In testing of the 1.75mm PLA filament and Glass Filament worked well even on a non-heated acrylic bed and all 3 types the ABS, PLA and Glass Filament performed well on a heated bed with the Seemecnc Delta Printer that we had on loan for a while.

It would probably perform as well on Hatchbox3d’s Delta Printer as well.

For more information go to Hatchbox3d’s site!

Would we recommend their filament to folks that need filament, of course we would we were rather impressed by their products!

Four Useful Suggestions for Using Local SEO Keywords in Your Small Business Website’s Design

One of the hottest trends in web design is the use of local SEO keywords that are designed to attract more nearby customers to a firm’s products and services. Using these keywords in your website is worthwhile because they offer an economical way to attract new customers that are simple to customize.

Here are four useful suggestions for using local SEO strategies in your website’s design that can help you successfully incorporate these keywords into your website’s design:

Use Keywords That Describe Your Firm’s Location
Using keywords that describe your firm’s location is vital because it simplifies the process of choosing suitable local SEO strategies for your target audience. Here are some useful suggestions that make choosing the best location-based keywords for your website easier:

Try to mention the city where your firm is located on the main page of your website and on web pages that describe what you sell.
Don’t forget to mention your firm’s address on web pages that describe your products, return policies, and shipping procedures.
Try to add information about your firm’s neighborhood in web pages that build your customers’ trust and loyalty.

Use Keywords That Accurately Describe What Your Firm Sells
Accurately describing what your firm sells is important because it can help your firm choose local SEO keywords that attract a larger audience. This is especially useful if you sell specialty products in niche markets because it can help you use localized keyword phrases more efficiently to reach out to consumers who buy these products on a regular basis.

Try to Use Grammatically Correct Keyword Phrases
It is tempting to use grammatically incorrect SEO keyword phrases because they are often easier to optimize for search engines. However, it is often better to use grammatically correct keywords because they let you create a more professional look for your website that encourages your customers to engage more closely with your products and services.
This is especially useful if you want to improve your firm’s online presence because many consumers prefer visiting websites that have a professional look and tone.

Use These Keywords Sparingly Throughout Your Website
It’s a bad idea to add a lot of local SEO keywords to your website because most search engines penalize websites that use too many keywords by lowering their rankings. An easy way to avoid this problem is to use local SEO keywords once or twice on each page of your website. This is an ideal way to use local SEO keywords because most search engines allow users to devote up to 3 percent of their website’s written content to keywords and keyword phrases.

As you can see, adding local SEO keywords to your small business’s website is easier if you remember to use them in creative ways that accurately describe what you sell and where you are located. Feel free to use this article as a guide that can help you get started using local SEO keywords in this manner in your next small business web design project.

Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf: All-new computer game allows users to design, create and play custom golf courses

Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf: All-new computer game allows
users to design, create and play custom golf courses

May 3, 2016

North Palm Beach, Fla.—Acclaimed golf course designer Jack Nicklaus—known for his record 18 professional major championship victories in addition to his global portfolio of award-winning courses and host venues for the game’s most significant events—once famously said, “The game is meant to be fun.” And now, the Nicklaus Companies is upping the ante to an all-new level, with the launch of Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf, the most realistic golf computer game the market has ever seen. Golfers, non-golfers and gaming enthusiasts alike will have hours of enjoyment designing and playing golf courses just like the Golden Bear himself has done for the last 50 years.

“We have developed a number of innovative technologies bringing together the virtual and real worlds into a seamless environment,” said Robert Samuels, the Chairman and CEO of Perfect Golf. “We are proud to team with the Nicklaus Companies once again and look forward to our shared mutual success.”

Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf features an integrated online multiplayer with an in-game lobby for matchmaking. The game includes a fully integrated tournament function that allows external community sites to host their own tournaments in-game, using the publically available Application Program Interface. There is also an Integrated Control API, which can be used to connect external equipment to the game to provide a vast array of different simulation options.

The physics engine, built specifically for golf, implements true skid and roll bounce physics, as well as accurate green speed measurements. Inside the game, users can select different swing mechanics, including full controller support; various time-of-day and weather options, including real-time integrated weather; customize their players and golf clubs; and select from multiple difficulty options to play the courses they’ve designed. There are more than 20 modes of play, including the innovative hazard golf and a fully customizable Method of Play Creator, containing over 50 events that can be used to create custom game play modes.

Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf also gives players a completely customizable experience, bringing forth the expertise that Jack Nicklaus and world-leading Nicklaus Design have gleaned from designing nearly 400 golf courses worldwide over parts of six decades. Now, users can become expert golf course designers and architects too. Nicklaus Design Course Forge, the in-game course designer, is the same platform used internally by Nicklaus Design for its global projects. Not only can players dabble in golf course design—they can completely customize the surrounding landscape, selecting from a large array of camera angles, tracers, and graphics quality settings. The courses are also fully geo-referenced for future integration of real-world data and accurate sun angles, based on location.

Perfect Golf has a global reputation in 3-D modeling and simulation for entertainment uses. Perfect Golf’s graphics have set the benchmark and have been used during worldwide broadcasts of the most notable tournaments on the PGA TOUR to digitally depict golf course ball flights, playing conditions, and design elements on some of the best-known golf courses in the world including The Presidents Cup 2015 at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea, and will soon be featured in the return of golf to the 2016 Olympics.

Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf is currently available on Steam for Windows, OSX and Linux (www.jacknicklausperfectgolf.com). The game will be offered soon on a variety of other platforms, including consoles and Android TV.

An informational Overview on Adding Chat Services To Your Web Site

Adding Chat Services To Your Web Site:

Several years ago, it became a normal thing for companies that have a presence on the internet to start blending their service departments so that they could answer questions in by e-mail, by phone, and by offering live chat sessions.

They soon found out that customers that contacted them regarding their website were using the live chat service option a lot more than e-mail because it was possible to ask a specific question. The flip side of that when you first get started with full-line customer service on your website is that if your knowledgebase is not completely up-to-date, you may find that you are getting swamped with live chat help sessions.

Here are some other ways that you fine tune the process of adding chat services to your web site:

Use your chat service to make your customer service better: As mentioned, when you get started providing customer service, you won’t always know what the most common questions are. By implementing live chat, you can ensure that statistics are kept on all topics, giving you insight into precisely the type of service that your customers need in all parts of your customer support area.

Look at using a solid partner: Some hosting providers like Solidcactus.com offer chat services as an option that can augment the hosting applications that they provide for you. Because their options are standardized and used by many people, the price that you pay will be competitive and the technology will always be the latest. Another reason that a good partner is important is that they can help you maintain your level of service across the board. In some scenarios, if you do not want to hire your own customer service agents, your hosting provider may have workers available that can handle customer service with chat.

Leverage your chat service to increase your overall customer service: One of the hardest for website managers is to see sales fall by the wayside when customers are not able to close a transaction for one reason or another. If you watch your transaction queue with your workers, you can often initiate chat sessions and talk with the client in order to find out what happened. Companies that choose to go this route often end up converting those lost sales back into revenue because the customer typically just makes a data entry mistake when they are ordering.

Live chat services are one of the most popular ways to allow your customer service team to quietly make themselves available so that the customer experience can be everything that you have designed it to be. By finding a solid partner that can help staff you when you need workers you can add flexibility that will save you both time and money.

Live chat services are one of the most popular ways to allow your customer service team to quietly make themselves available so that the customer experience can be everything that you have designed it to be.

If you are an organization that needs these services, this sounds rather intriguing and a good way to get started with it.
